Bound by Sustainability: Our journey to becoming Certified Sustainability Reporting Specialists

This summer, we successfully completed a multi-week training programme to become Certified Sustainability Reporting Specialists (CSRS). Even before the training, we had already translated our first reports based on the ESRS standards, and we have now deepened our expertise even further.

Sustainability reporting is highly technical, acronym-heavy, and regulation-driven. It’s not just about language anymore; it’s about subject matter expertise. By completing this course, we have gained a solid understanding of:

-         Terminology and context that go beyond surface-level translation

-         Reporting structures, materiality assessments, and disclosure requirements

-         The broader ESG narrative and its regulatory implications

This allows us to translate not just words, but meaning and intent—accurately and confidently. With our translations, writing, and subject matter expertise, we aim to contribute to greater transparency in the field of sustainability—and help make sustainable action a natural part of doing business.

Thank you Accovalist Institute -and in particular Thomas Amann, Dr. Christan Bach and Carsten Ernst- for providing this in-depth and engaging course.
